Bloodstone

I normally find myself gravitating towards the deeper, darker coloured crystals, and Bloodstone is no exception. Also known as heliotrope, this gorgeous dark green stone has offered me a lot of grounding energy over what has been a pretty tumultuous year. Connecting me to my inner strength and allowing me to think clearly, Bloodstone has been a constant friend. But my favourite property of this stone is its ability to strengthen the immune system and purify the blood, helpful for those of us who are anaemic or suffer with immune issues, like myself (not in place of your regular pills though!). In dispelling both spiritual and physical negative energies, Bloodstone leaves me feeling calm, protected and strengthened.

Lapis Lazuli

This beautiful dark blue and gold speckled stone is close to my heart (both physically and metaphorically, as I wear it around my neck!). As a Capricorn, this stone is particularly suited to me, helping to enhance my spirituality and trust in others. It also aids with expression of your truth and feelings, helping you to gain self-knowledge and compassion. I also love this stone for its ability to cool and soothe areas of inflammation and boost the immune system (sensing a theme here?). Lapis Lazuli is a stone of peace, stress release and protection. In aiding with self-realisation and conversation, I have found this one to be the perfect stone for job interviews and interactions you’re particularly nervous about!

Iona

Aquamarine

I’ve always felt drawn to Aquamarine waters, the way they reflect into a time you were innocent and naive. I suppose that’s what I feel when I take the aquamarine stone inside my hand and place it on my body, close to my chest, and the clearish green reminds me I’m awake and I’m present in the moment, not caught up in the waves of reminiscing and the past. This particular stone reminds me to communicate honestly and without pretence and to feel self-love in the depths of the deep Aquamarine.

Malachite

I’m holding the psychedelic vivid green in my mind’s eye as I think. I’m forever drawn to and driven by my emotions and this stone grounds me deeply. The hypnotic rays seem to seep into me, into my inner analytical architect and there’s a rendezvous of my grounded and emotional side. It appeals to my Aries rising, and I’m allowed to be headstrong without guilt and fully endowed with power - the green kaleidoscopic kind.

Olive

Sunstone

Having a Leo rising, I feel very drawn to sunstone. The gold flecks within the stone reflect how it can increase vitality and clear the mind. Leo rules over the heart and this stone should be used as such. If, for example, you feel unsure about matters of the heart, meditate with and all will become clear.

Citrine

Citrine is a multifaceted and beautiful stone, aiding in bring creative ideas into fruition. I am particularly drawn to this stone as, having a Cancer Jupiter, I am always in danger of leaning too far into my desire for escapism. This stone grounds me, while still enabling my creative flow.
